About Us

We are an accommodation village on the Bruce Hwy, halfway between Brisbane and Mackay, in the small town of Bororen – gateway to 1770 and THE GREAT BARRIER REEF. Heading south it is only a 30-40 minute drive to the town of 1770 and AGNES WATERS. Heading north it is only a 30- 40 minute drive to Gladstone with Rockhampton, Yeppoon and the WHITSUNDAYS a few more hours north.

We are next door to a great cafe and gallery, which is open all day for amazing coffees, snacks and meals. Also only a few minutes walk to the local Bororen Hotel for that cold beverage on a warm QLD day. With the local shop only a few steps away, it is the perfect place to rest after a day’s driving.

Bushchooks Village has the best BBQ  and camp kitchen area in Australia, containing smart induction cookers, microwaves, pizza oven / grill, gas cooker, as well as a BBQ AND dishwasher and all the equipment you need to cook a hearty meal while you are away from home.

Our small campground contains powered and unpowered sites. We accept backpacker vans, motor homes, camper trailers, tents and swags.

We DO NOT ACCEPT CARAVANS due to size restrictions.

For more information contact us directly. Camping is restricted to 4 nights without prior approval by management. All vehicles towing trailers must give prior notice before arrival.

So if you need a stopover on your way up or down the coast come stay with us. Our clean and comfy rooms are from $50 per night, which also includes free tea and coffee in our camp kitchen. We have OFF STREET PARKING ONSITE.
